If your pets aren't fixed, please do so! There are many health benefits to spaying and neutering, in addition to helping control the pet overpopulation crisis. If your pets are already altered, help a family member, friend or neighbor get their pets altered. It's the only way to stop the senseless euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals.
Need financial assistance to get your dog fixed? We may be able to help. Contact us for more information.

BERTA HAS LIVED IN A KENNEL FOR 2 YEARS. CAN YOU SPONSOR OR ADOPT HER? Hi! I'm Berta, and I am one happy girl! The main question on my mind at any given time is, 'Who's going to pet my belly next?' Once upon a time, I used to have a family, but they just didn't want me anymore. Their loss, my gain, because I'm intending to start a new life with the best of everything. I have been described as a complete 'ham'. That doesn't mean that I'm part pig, but rather that I am always smiling and make others smile, too. I am a 'hard body' (about 60 pounds of muscle), but have a soft heart and love getting belly rubs, being petted and told that I'm a good girl. I love people a whole bunch: so much so that I would prefer if I had a human family all to myself. No feline or canine siblings, that is. And I'd do better in a home without really small kiddos, because if they get rowdy, it makes me nervous. I have a laid-back outlook on life, so you're not going to have to invest a whole lot of time in exercising me. I'm happy to just hang out and snooze while you read or do housework. I do need a family that is going to build my confidence, because I'm a little insecure. When my human friends make me sit for treats or food, I do it willingly and it makes me feel confident and safe because I know who's in charge and I'm comfortable in my 'nitch'. I am spayed, have all of my vaccines, am on flea/tick and heartworm preventative, and am microchipped. I hope you're looking for a tough-exterior, soft-hearted girl for your next canine friend, because that's me!
